My Favorite Paleo Dinner - Pasture-Raised Lamb Chop, Sprouts and Tators

But Sour Cream Isn't Paleo!!!

paleo dinner - lamb shoulder blade
This is pretty much my perfect meal. If you check out Paleo Evolved regularly, you know how much I enjoy fresh lamb and salmon.

It has plenty of healthy fat and protein, my favorite veggie for vitamins and minerals, papaya for digestion and the potatoes will add extra carbs to fuel my needs.

Why I (and you Should) Eat Sour Cream

For a long time I was afraid of sour cream. It's made from pasteurized milk which I feel is very disruptive to the digestive process.

With that said, I've recently brought it back into my diet to help satisfy certain needs. I wasn't getting enough "sour" tasting foods in my diet and I've been focusing my attention towards proper digestion. As John Meadows claims, "you are only what you can absorb".

I'm getting Nancy's Organic sour cream which is made from organic milk which is a good start. Unfortunately it's pasteurized, however it's local (Eugene, OR - Go Beavs!).

The main reason I've included this sour cream into my diet is so I can introduce more of the probiotic L-Acidophilis which is great for digestion.

With my high protein diet (shakes as well as natural sources), I want my digestive system to work as little as possible, I'm hoping this will help.

A side note; I also drink 1.5 Gal of Raw milk each week (blog post soon). I wonder if the natural enzymes in the raw milk will help digest the nutrients in the pasteurized milk? Hhhmm.

But ya, you should try this recipe. All you need to know is; lemon juice, rosemary, salt and pepper. Don't be cheap and buy regular salt. Get celtic or pink salt. Invest in yourself!

Those ingredients will go well with any red meat and it's all you need!
