The Secret To Getting What You Want And Being Successful

Why You Fail

When was the last time you set yourself a real goal?

The definition of success is the accomplishment of what you set out to do.

The fact that you own a mansion will demonstrate your wealth but not success.

Look at Hollywood, those people aren't happy.

If you don’t isolate what you want you can never achieve it and thus always be unsuccessful.
Workout Motivation - Why your not successfull
If you’re failing to be successful, dripping sweat in the gym should be your first down payment.

This temporary pain will pay dividends that keep serving you for the rest of your life.

My Paleo Shopping List
Minus The Dark Chocolate (With Almonds) That Got Eaten In The Car

I prefer to get what I can from Trader Joe's and my meat from New Seasons.
I might have a new favorite vegetable; Brussel Sprouts.

I've always hated brussel sprouts until recently, and my new favorite way to cook them comes from one of John Meadows' ideas.

John Meadows is a genius when it comes to diet and nutrition, and suggested squeezing fresh lemon juice on cooked sprouts.

Wow. I like to steam the brussel sprouts before slicing them into halves, followed by salt and pepper. Simple as that, perhaps the best brussel sprouts you've ever had!

Here's what was on the list;

Lose Weight By Satisfying All Your Taste Preferences!
Just like humans have adapted consciousness and instincts to help make survival decisions, we've also developed a taste sensory system to help us choose foods that are healthy versus foods that are toxic and detrimental to our health.

Satisfying the different tastes goes beyond simply satisfying an appetite, satisfying all tastes helps avoid binge eating and ensures we don’t develop any nutrient deficiencies.

The 5 Major Tastes recognized by humans are; Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter, and umami tastes.

If you are attempting to lose weight it’s you must understand how you can activate all 5 taste sensors to avoid reaching for the sweets after dinner.

This concept will argue that our cravings for sweets is  a symptom of deficiency, and that a steak will help relieve that craving much more than any candy bar could ever do!

Why Women Should Lift Heavy Weights for Fat Loss

1/26/2013

Ladies, Why are you in the Gym?
Why women should get off the treadmill and lift weights

Why is it that in every commercial gym the guys always flock to the weights while the women can always be found on the "cardio" machines?

For the guys it's obvious, we all want large muscles so we lift weights in an attempt to fool our body into thinking we need them. That makes sense; Weight lifting with some strategic "cardio" mixed in will produce results.

But that doesn't answer the question; Why are women always on the machines rather than lifting heavy weights.

I'm here to convince you that there should be NO difference in the way men and women train - only the amount of weight moved. The level of intensity will vary between the individual. A healthy woman can lift more weight, more intensely than a beginning male lifter.

The big question is. What do women want?

If Fat Loss is the answer, this might be the most important thing you'll ever read.

Don't be "that" guy in the gym anymore
Use These 2 Simple Secrets to Fuel Muscle Growth For the Long Haul

It happens every day in the gym. The same people doing the same pointless exercises at the gym with no results. It’s actually impressive that these people have the dedication to continue week after week.

Simply going to the gym and performing 4 sets of 10 on the bench press and 20 more sets of various chest presses will work for a rookie, however gains like this are unsustainable.

In an effort to continually grow lean muscle, it’s important to understand why (not how) muscle is built.

Fuck Men’s Health. This is the truth – plain and simple;

Usain Bolt Video - Training With Weights

Worlds fastest runner shown cleaning 135 pounds for reps. This Shows that even runners like Usain Bolt lift heavy shit.  Heavy, explosive reps have been proven to build muscle faster than low weight, high reps like most people are doing in the gym today. People assume that cardio and low weight/high rep will burn more calories but in reality this is less taxing on the body, thus ultimately burning less calories in the long run. It doesn't matter if you are training for speed, power, agility, strength, heavy weights somewhere in the workout is 100% necessary!

TIP - If you want to burn fat and build the most muscle possible, lift heavy weight.

Paleo Diet and Taking Control Of Your Life Back

7/23/2012

I stumbled upon this the other day and thought it would be worth sharing.
Picture
I've noticed when things get tough, it's easy to get negged out and lose motivation. Whether it be weight loss goals, muscle gain goals, or maybe our childhood wasn't what it should have been. Humans tend to rationalize or make up excuses for themselve as to why they can't achieve a certain goal and often end up quitting.

This is nonsense. Be a independant person who loves to be around other people, but knows he can do it himself; a person who takes responsibility for everything in his/her life and changes what he/she doesn't like.

A healthy diet is one of the greatest steps one can take when regaining their life back. Americans these days don't even think twice about whay they are eating, so long as those hunger pains don't show up mid afternoon.

"I work too much and don't have time to cook" is one way of rationalizing our way out of cooking healthy meals. If that is really an issue, take sunday night and make food for the week. Done. Bring a cooler to work, I do.

"I am too fat to go to the gym, it is embarassing" is another excuse to not exercise. Who ever said you have to go to the gym to get exercise? If you are self-concious of your body, go on a neighborhood jog or through a wooded forest area. Chances are you will not be seen in those areas. When you are ready to show the world the new physique, then make your way into the gym.

There are always ways around our rationalizations, we just need to recognize when we are doing this, and take responsibility for our lives and health to make BETTER decisions.

Paleo Weight Gain - Paleo Made Me Gain Weight!!

Why People Gain Fat on the Faleo Diet...I mean Paleo Diet.

I have been seeing online lately people commenting about the Paleo diet making them actually gain weight…and I am not talking muscle, I am talking fat.

I find it odd that people are actually getting in worse shape while eating Paleo. I came to the conclusion these people must be  practicing the FAILEO diet instead of the Paleo diet.
