Salmon Steelhead Recipe
One of the many benefits of living in Oregon is that along with the landscape, we're also treated with a variety of wildlife which makes for great fishing!

I was lucky enough to pull out a couple steelhead from the Wilson River [drift boat] this week and obviously cooked some up for dinner.

I look at lifting weights and exercising the same way I look at my diet, I do what makes sense. 

It doesn’t make sense to eat exactly like a caveman, but rather to mimic their habits and eat natural foods as they would have back in the day.

In a similar fashion, a paleo workout doesn’t mean you have to jump over rocks or climb trees to get the “perfect” exercise. When it comes down to science, the “perfect” workout is the one that will create an adaptive response in regards to cellular repair.

I did a bad thing. I made my friends mother cry last night.

Before you judge me, let me explain. I love raw milk. In my opinion, raw milk is "Paleo-friendly", as it fits the bill; whole and hearty and full of nutrients! Plus it’s as natural as it comes – straight from the nipple!

Despite the many benefits of raw milk, many people act like it’s the worst thing you could possibly be drinking; like it’s the WORST thing since sliced bread (pun intended).
My friend’s mom is one of those people. Actually, she is the King of these people because she works at a doctor’s office…and that’s how a normal conversation about raw milk turned into her crying and stomping out of the house.
